The darkest piece in this series and one of the very first I created, yet one that was resolved only towards the end of the process. It was created side by side with 'Awakening Light', and practically seems like the opposite of it.
Every healing process has to start by confronting the real issue, digging deep into what caused it and how it impacts us. The initial black layers were how I chose to present the pain and wounds that start the story of this series. Despite how dark it is, even then, there are glimpses of light and a thread of gold that offers hope.
