Beyond the veil

As an artist, the idea of being vulnerable and inviting people into my personal space to share emotional moments resonates with me. It is where you and I meet and connect that makes our realities feel more elevated and unique.

‘Beyond The Veil’ tells the story of experiencing loss of balance, fear, and vagueness. Moments where the unknown is what scares us the most and we search for something to cling onto. This is the story that the dark underlayers in these paintings tell. In the process of creating these pieces, I found myself looking up to the clouds more often than usual, searching for a meaning beyond the hidden and mysterious veil-like layers. When rays of light pierced the clouds, they offered to transcend the everyday experiences, and find comfort and peace in what lies beyond.
