'Safe Space' was created in the mid-stage of this series. At a point when I started feeling that despite drowning in the painful memories of my own story, and the emotions that came with it, I can allow it all to pour out of me.
In my studio, in my own world, I feel safe and my emotional world is protected because I set the boundaries and I get to decide how deep to go each time. But also, by inviting light into your life, you create your own safe space to exist in the world.
